Floraleda plays Jóhann Jóhannsson

Floraleda Sacchi pays tribute to the beautiful music of Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson with the release of various singles for solo harp and an album for harp and electronics.
The songs are mainly taken from the soundtrack of the film The Theory of Everything, a biographical movie dedicated to the famous physicist and astrophysicist Stephen Hawking.

The project dedicated to Jóhannsson began on April 22, 2022 with the publication of “A Model of the Universe” for solo harp which in a few days received over 60,000 plays only on Spotify. Other songs followed in the following months “The Dreams that Stuff is Made Of” (13/05/2022), “The Whirling Ways of the Stars that Pass” (27/05/2022), “The Theory of Everything (Arrival of the birds) “(17/06/2022), “Forces of Attraction” (24/06/2022), “A Game of Croquet” (08/07/2022),” By the Roes and by the Hinds of the Field” (22/07/2022) all with considerable success in terms of ratings and appreciation from the public and critics.

On 12 August 2022 the album “Jóhann Jóhannsson by Floraleda Sacchi” was released, including all previous singles in a version for harp and electronics created by Floraleda Sacchi.
The album is a 20-minute gapless track that got already tens of thousands of plays and has been selected from major playlists.

Recording and mixing were handled by Antonio “Aki” Chindamo for the Amadeus Arte label.

A bonus track is expected shortly in response to numerous requests from the public.
Floraleda has performed these pieces in various her summer concerts and is scheduling some more performances during autumn.
