The album by Floraleda Sacchi accompanied by Asolo Chamber Orchestra is an ambitious and original project presenting the famous “Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi for Harp and Orchestra.

Published in Amsterdam in 1725, “The Four Seasons” is the title by which the concerts no. 1-4 of the opera “Il cimento dell’armonia e dell’inventione” Op. 8 by Antonio Vivaldi are known.

Each concerto refers to one of the seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. These concertos are one of the very first examples of descriptive music and in fact the concertos are also accompanied by sonnets written by an anonymous poet (probably Vivaldi himself).

The connection with nature and the typical soundscapes of each season unfold one after the other, helping to create the rich palette of colors that made these concerts so unique and famous.

Floraleda Sacchi created an arrangement of Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons keeping the orchestral part unchanged, transposing on the Harp the solo Violin and the Continuo, performing the concertos in Canada, Poland, Austria and Spain with great appreciation.

The score adapts incredibly well to the transposition, leaving the themes and virtuosity unchanged, but enriching the descriptive cues of the score by Vivaldi with additional colors typical of the Harp.

Published by Amadeus Arte in physical and digital format, the album is accompanied by a large booklet of 50 pages.
The mastering and mixing was entrusted to the producer Filadelfo Castro who has also signed many other recordings by Floraleda Sacchi.
